We finally left Celista and have started our way back to The States, but not before saying goodbye to the moose that adopted us earlier in the week. The young animal stayed on the property constantly for the last three days, and we've come to expect to see her anytime. In fact, we've started calling her "Brisket," after a tasty piece of moose meat we once consumed in the company of Dave and Leslie Albrecht of Airdrie (neé Grande Cache) Alberta, Canada.
On the way out, however, we stopped in Vernon, BC to visit with Betsy's Aunt Betty, Uncle Bill, Cousin Leslie (Albrecht) and her three lovely daughters. Shown here are Leslie, Betsy and Ashley. We had a great visit, then retired back into town for a night's rest.
And here's another for the rapidly growing "Roadside Humor" page I'm putting together. Pictured here is the outside of a large supermarket in Salmon Arm, BC. The name of the food store is pronounced just as it appears: "Over-weighty!"
More later.
